Features that no other Formula 1 game had yet, like split-screen, co-op championships, and online play with up to 16 players, F1 2011 was the most competitive and up to date F1 game at the time. Gameplayį1 2011 has nothing impressive by today’s standards, but for the time, it actually was a great predecessor for the coming F1 2012 through F1 2020.
So, while F1 2011 does not have special, state of the art graphics in it, it is still impressive for the time, making it clear that great effort was put into the game.
The developers even took time to ensure that cars had sponsorships printed on them, individual fans were put into the stands, and the pavement of the race track had texture.
